There are four matches and a possible 96 points up for grabs as Yorkshire aim to sing a September song to remember.
It will be a tough few weeks but if there is any genuine confidence within the dressing room in a 34th championship success then the players will need to hitch up their belts, Trueman style and prepare to pound in again… and again.
Whatever the recent soundbites from Anthony McGrath and co. have been, the lads have to be optimistic, for without their positivity where would any of us be?! We, however, can offer a dose of realism.
As I write, there are six teams above them in the Division One table and just three below. They’re not yet a win clear of last week’s opponents Leicestershire (15 points) and 12 points ahead of this week’s opponents, Surrey.
