With AJ Tye to lead the line with the ball, the Tykes have got plenty of experience although they won’t be at full strength tonight on account of the lack of Sam Whiteman, who is still not being risked after injury, and both Hasan Ali who is only due to land today after Pakistan Test duty and Faheem Ashraf, who has signed but is not playing this evening.
Yorkshire’s strength looks likely to be primarily in its bowling, which as the competition unfolds should have plenty of depth, Dom Bess, Jafer Chohan and Dan Moriarty all spin options in addition to Ali.
However, on its day, with Bairstow, Will Luxton, again Ali and the likes of James Wharton and Matthew Revis, it should also be capable of winning matches with the bat.
