Steeton are at the summit of the Premier Division after Week 3 of the 2026 season following a comfortable 5-wicket home victory against Pool who, in contrast, are winless. Stephen Pearson made the most of winning the toss with a miserly return of 3-20 and this was backed up by Ben Hemsley’s 3-9, a couple of wickets for Archie Cox and the tightest bowling of the match from Tremaine Dowrich (0-19 from 15 overs). Sam Parsons scored 32 of Pool’s 130 all out to help give the visitors something to defend. However, Hemsley stroked his way to an unbeaten 79 not out from 84 balls, thwarting the efforts of Sam Lawrence (3-51), to give the Summerhill Lane outfit 19 points and a place at the top of the early season table.
