Vitality Blast – Men: Yorkshire 169/3 beat Notts Outlaws 167/7 by seven wickets with 21 balls to spare.
Skipper Jonny Bairstow led the way with a 47-ball unbeaten 83 as Yorkshire crushed Notts Outlaws by seven wickets to launch their Vitality Blast campaign in emphatic style in front of a near-12,000 crowd at Trent Bridge.
Bairstow, or 'Big Bad Blue' as George Hill had nicknamed him in the White Rose Files Pod in the build-up to the match, hit four sixes and nine fours in a commanding display, well supported by James Wharton (55 from 41) in a match-winning partnership of 144 in 80 balls, chasing a modest target of 168.
