Hassan Ali: Magnificent in the 2026 Blast

Big Match preview: The 'Ali factor' could prove vital in White Rose bid for Blast glory

Yorkshire's 2026 Blast campaign has benefitted immensely from the additions of both World Cup winner Moeen and Pakistan star Hassan during the past two months and if they're to succeed in an historic first T20 meeting with triple champions Somerset, White Rose supporters will be hoping that both continue at the top of their game.

Hassan Ali has been a revelation with the ball, taking 25 wickets at just 12.92 and at an economy rate of 8.07. He's taken a wicket every 9.6 deliveries. By whatever your measure, he's been absolutely red hot but it's more than just about statistics. His skills both in the powerplay and at the death have meant that whatever the match situation, particularly when defending a total, you can't write off Yorkshire.
